A forlorn gaze at the clear sky
Hosting birds sweetly flapping their wings
Not a care in the world for the wry
Happily occupied with his blings.

A second gaze at the birds
Reminds one never to despair
Alas, the rising dirges
Drowns every feelings of cheer.

The custodian unbeknown to him
Reclining upon his loyals’ bossom
While Suffering no sight so dim
Only a detachment from the doom.

How long shall he dally
While his people needlessly fall?
Amidst the confusion up his alley
Clear proof of an unprepared call.

A little more sleep
A little more slumber
Until loud wailing the land sweep
And the hunted becomes the hunter

How long shall we pray
Amidst so much inaction?
Waiting for the big brothers to sway
And help #bringbackourgirls.

When shall the custodians be awaken
From their drowning slumbers?
Unto the realities of the stricken
And save the hunted from the hunters.
